An English language symposium entitled “Science-Driven Transformation of Educational Quality: From Systemic Inequality to Evidence-Based Practice” will be held at the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
The symposium will explore how scientific research can contribute to improving educational quality at both the systemic and individual learner levels. The programme will focus on the causes and reduction of educational inequalities, as well as digital tools supporting adaptive and personalized learning.
Prof. Dr. Mari-Pauliina Vainikainen of Tampere University will deliver a presentation entitled “Understanding and Reducing Educational Inequalities: International Evidence from MapIE”. The MapIE project conducts comparative longitudinal research across educational systems in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and Hungary.
Prof. Dr. Gyöngyvér Molnár of the University of Szeged will present “Turning Educational Evidence into Action: Digital Tools for Adaptive and Personalized Learning”. Her presentation will introduce the work of the MTA SZTE Digital Learning Technologies Research Group. Drawing on empirical and data-driven research, the research group develops technology-based assessment and development tools that help identify individual differences between learners and support adaptive pedagogical practices.
